The battles Christians face today are because Satan fell from Heaven and seeks a place to operate. That is why believers must remain right with God and close every door the enemy may use.
"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony..." - Revelation 12:11
We overcome through the Blood of Jesus and through our testimony.
A serpent represents evil and deception. A scorpion represents oppression and danger. But Jesus has given believers authority over both.
If you stay right with God, you will tread upon serpents and scorpions, and nothing shall harm you.

One of the dangers of backsliding is that it slowly pulls a believer away from God and back into the old life.
When a person backslides: • Pride begins to take root. • Prayer becomes less important. • Old sinful habits begin to return. • Quarrelling and strife increase. • Spiritual sensitivity decreases.
The message of the Cross may seem foolish to those who are perishing, but to those who are being saved, it is the power of God.
No matter how wise the world may appear, God has made the wisdom of this world foolishness.
The safest place for a believer is to remain close to God, humble before Him, resist the Devil, and he will flee from you.

One of the most sobering lessons from today`s service was that spiritual dirtiness can block a person from God`s altar. When the inner man is defiled, the effects may begin to manifest in different areas of life. • Spiritual decline • Lack and famine • Stagnation and setbacks • Loss of favour and opportunities The temple of God must remain clean.
We were reminded that sin can affect every area of a person`s spiritual life, and that even what we eat can influence our spiritual sensitivity.
